RIT Certified announced today that Dr. Jayson Boyers will join the team on July 1. As a solutions partner to employers and businesses, Dr. Boyers will help identify talent gaps within organizations, flag upskilling opportunities, and help both industry and individuals grow. Dr. Boyers will report to RIT Certified’s Chief Business Officer, Dennis Di Lorenzo.

“Having been the first in my family to attend college, I am a passionate believer in overcoming the barriers to education that economic disparities can create,” said Dr. Boyers. “We are currently experiencing an ever-widening education and access to work gap across the country. Now more than ever, individuals are struggling to find work and opportunity, and employers continue to face talent gap challenges. RIT’s commitment to providing accessible pathways to education and work resonated deeply for me, and ultimately propelled me to join RIT Certified.”

In his career, Dr. Boyers has successfully formed strategic partnerships and alliances with industry-leading companies, serving as their preferred educational partner while creating relationships with 500,000 private sector employees and over 2 million public sector workers through the Federal Office of Personnel Management. He forged mutually collaborative partnerships with 57 corporate partners nationally, including Cisco Systems, MetLife, Seventh Generation, Keurig Coffee, and AT&T. He initiated an innovative partnership with AT&T, in which the employer offered financial and advancement incentives to complete competency-based educational tracks that could build toward a degree.

“In our initial conversations, it was clear to me that Jayson not only possessed the experience and skills to eliminate barriers between education and work, but that he was passionate about increasing access to education and jobs for all, “said Di Lorenzo. “As a solutions partner, RIT Certified is helping employers identify talent gaps within their organization, providing opportunities for upskilling, and developing solutions to help industries grow and communities thrive. Jayson will bring both his passion and his expertise to these efforts moving forward.”

Most recently, Dr. Boyer was President of Rosemont College. Accomplishments during his tenure include forging strategic partnerships which doubled freshman enrollment in Fall 2021, as well as a major infrastructure expansion to accommodate a growing student population.

Prior to joining the Rosemont College community, Dr. Boyers was the President of Cleary University in Howell, Michigan, a position he held from 2015 to 2020. Before Cleary University, Dr. Boyers was the Vice President and Managing Director of the Division of Continuing Professional Studies for Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. His career in higher education began first as Campus President, then Division President for Harrison College.
