Hands-On Training in a
State-of-the-Art Cleanroom
A truly unique training experience.
This course offers unmatched hands-on experience in semiconductor device design, fabrication, and testing. Through cleanroom-based labs and alternating lecture sessions, participants work through the full integrated circuit process—from CAD layout to IC testing—on industry-grade tools and silicon wafers.
RIT’s 10,000-square-foot Semiconductor Nanofabrication Lab provides state-of-the-art facilities and supports higher education, workforce development, research, and corporate training. Trainees gain real-world fabrication experience using 150mm CMOS processing tools, which are the same technologies powering the semiconductor industry today.
The fully equipped Class 1000 cleanroom also provides industrial affiliates in the semiconductor and microsystems industries with applied solutions in microdevice design, process development, microsystem integration, and prototype fabrication.
