Terms and Conditions

By enrolling in an RIT Certified course or program, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding tuition, fees, discounts, payment options, and refund eligibility. These terms apply to all non-credit offerings unless otherwise noted in a separate agreement.

I. Tuition and Fees

  • Tuition is charged on a per-course basis and due at the time of enrollment.
  • A one-time $75 registration fee is required for first-time learners. This fee is nonrefundable.
  • A $50 administrative fee is applied per course and is non-refundable.
    • Reduced to $25 for approved financial aid recipients.

II. Payment Options

  • Accepted forms of payment include:
    • Credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express)
    • Electronic check (ACH)
    • Physical check (for third-party sponsors only)
  • Payment must be made in full at registration unless an approved payment plan is in place.

(These terms shall apply to the application of tuition, fees, payment options, discounts, and refunds for RIT Certified programs, except where alternative terms have been established and does not supersede terms established through a contract or Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for custom programs or sponsored corporate training, which may include unique payment or refund provisions.)

III. Payment Plans

Payment plans are available by request and must be approved at least 14 days before the course start date.

Two payments due weeks 4 and 8

Failure to meet a payment may result in withdrawal from your course(s) and loss of future payment plan eligibility. See Fees, Discounts, and Refunds Policy and Withdrawals and Transfer Policy for more information.

IV. Discounts

Only one discount may be applied per learner per course. Discounts must be requested before enrollment. Discounts do not apply to third-party sponsored enrollments.

All discounts apply only to tuition, not fees.

V. Third-Party Sponsorship

Organizations paying on behalf of a learner must submit a completed Third-Party Authorization Form. Payment is due two (2) weeks before the course begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Late or missing payment may result in withdrawal of the sponsored learner.

VI. Refund Policy

Refunds are based on the amount paid by the learner, excluding non-refundable fees. Refund eligibility depends on the date of request for voluntary withdrawal.

For courses six (6) weeks or longer in duration:
Withdrawal prior to start date – 100% refund
Withdrawal during days 0-3 – 100% refund
Withdrawal after day 3 – No refund

For courses less than six (6) weeks in duration:
Withdrawal prior to start date – 100% refund
Withdrawal during days 0-1 – 100% refund
Withdrawal after day 1 – No refund

  • Courses that are covered by a specific contract may have different refund policies that will be shared with learners.
  • Refunds will be returned to your original method of payment within seven (7) business days of approval.
  • Learners using a payment plan or discount will receive a refund only for the portion actually paid.
  • No refunds will be issued for academic integrity violations or involuntary withdrawals (e.g., payment default).

VII. Exceptions and Appeals

You may request a refund exception due to:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Military deployment
  • Employer-mandated schedule changes

If you wish to appeal a refund or withdrawal decision, you must submit your appeal in writing within seven (7) business days of the decision.

VIII. Additional Terms

  • RIT Certified reserves the right to revise these terms at any time.
  • If your course is part of a custom program or employer partnership, alternate refund or payment terms may apply. These will be disclosed during registration.
