Introducing RIT Certified

RIT Certified created to address the challenges of workforce development and professional training.

May 02, 2022 | RIT Certified

As both the future of work and education unfold in real time, RIT Certified is answering the call by offering job training and career education and training to serve employers, individuals in and out of the workforce, and working professionals.

The new suite of non-credit courses and programs, the first of which will launch in Fall 2022, promote both professional and economic mobility for a new and growing audience of learners who are not in the market for graduate or undergraduate degrees.

Certified’s skills-based training pathways aim to close skills gaps, often a barrier between job seekers and hiring managers, and open pathways to employment for learners by infusing the needs of real employers at the curricula design phase.

RIT Certified serves a dual purpose as a solutions partner for employers, helping them attract and retain talent, upskill employees, and increase diversity in order to keep their organizations on the forefront.

RIT Certified’s user-centered learning experiences are designed to provide learners with a shareable portfolio of easily demonstrable skills to help them get ahead—whether that be increasing access to work, growing within their current career, or pivoting to a new direction.

Learners will begin their RIT Certified experience with an assessment of their current strengths and skills. A Pathway Specialist will individually guide each learner toward the program that fits their needs.

Offered in flexible formats so as to meet learners where they are, all RIT Certified’s programs feature rigorous assessment and job simulation to ensure learners can track their progress and know how to apply their skills to today’s workforce.

RIT Certified is offering courses and programs in the highest growing fields among these areas of practice: Engineering, Art and Design, Engineering Technology, Clinical Health Care, Health Care Administration, Law and Technology, and more. The suite of offerings – as well as the individual curriculum for each — will continue to evolve in order to reflect real-time needs of individuals, employers, and hiring managers.
