RIT Certified’s Spring Courses are Running

Starting, growing, or changing your career can be daunting, and the first step can feel impossible to take. Whether you’re looking to gain new skills that can further your career, get the skills you need to break into a new industry, or gather the tools you need to start your first job with opportunities for growth into a long term career, RIT Certified is here to help you. Our Spring courses are well under way with many more courses starting soon, and we’re excited to keep giving students the tools and skills they need to advance or start their careers.

Information Technology Fundamentals is one of the first courses that we’ve launched, and throughout the 10 week run our students are learning the skills they’ll need to pass the CompTIAA A+ Core 1 exam. By the end of the 10 weeks, our students will have all of the tools and knowledge they’ll need to get an entry level position working in IT and start their careers. The only prerequisite for this course is a willingness to learn and the desire to jumpstart or further your career. Future sections start June 12th and September 11th and are currently open for registration.

Our upcoming courses cover a range of topics and program areas including Cybersecurity, Communication, and Crisis Planning and Response Management. We are also offering exciting summer courses for high school students with our High School Pro Advantage program, running in two sessions this July and covering topics ranging from photography to entrepreneurship to engineering. You can view the full range of program areas we’ll be offering courses here, and join our mailing list to find out more about what we have coming.

Launched in June 2022, RIT Certified may be early in our journey, but we have big plans to reimagine professional education and help provide access to rewarding work and long term careers. The help of our employer partners and the generous grants we’ve received from ESD, ESL, and the Ralph C. Wilson foundation will help us with our “Promoting Choice: Alternative Pathways into Work and Economic Mobility” plan, which you can learn more about in our press release. We hope that you’ll join us on our journey and we thank everyone who has helped us on our path so far as we move towards changing the landscape of continued education.
